As part of the corridor development, the Florida Department of Transportation, District 2, held a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Forum on March 28, 2007, at the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort in St. Augustine, Florida to explore innovative ways of financing this project.
Public Meetings were held on August 29, 2006 in Clay County and August 31, 2006 in St. Johns County to present an update of the study process. The Florida Department of Transportation announced at the meetings that the Pink Corridor is the locally preferred corridor. The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners recently adopted a resolution expressing support for a southerly river crossing location across the St. Johns River. The Clay County Board of County Commissioners also voted unanimously in support of a Pink route and submitted a letter to FDOT stating their position.
